I have tried many savings apps out there. Digit was the only one that passed the test in acceptable transfer speeds (withdrawal from app to checking account).
Qapital was a nightmare. I couldnt get my account verified no matter what I tried.
Acorns was sketchy. I put $5 in there and it said I lost the $5 when I tried to withdraw. But it eventually reappeared in my checking account after 2 weeks.
Tip Yourself was cute. But it took 5-7 days to withdraw.
Digit took 2 days to withdraw. It doesnt have the "earned it" method of savings like Tip Yourself or Qapital. But it has its beauty in simplistic automation.
Im sticking to Digit and will see how I like the "set it and forget it" method. Customer service is also great and I feel I can trust in them to hold my money.
P.S,
To those having issues because they deleted their account, contact CS. I deleted my account when I thought Qapital was more for me. When I came back, I couldnt make a new Digit account with my email or phone number.
CS emailed back saying they would reopen my old account (it doesnt get completely deleted until 90 days I think). It took about a week but I got an email saying it was reopened.
But here is the key. You have to log into your account from a browser to reactivates your account. I did it from my laptop. Make sure to use the exact link in the email instructions.
It wont work if you try to login from the app on your phone.
