Doesnt Work

It never stayed connected to my bank, so it never saved me any money.

Coolest saving account

It doesnt get much better than this.

Seriously love it!

Ok, I dont get worked up like that title suggests. However, I have used Digit for over a month now and saved a bunch. If we have a lunch at work, I throw the 5 bucks I would have spent into Digit... Otherwise, it will take out little odd amounts, which turn into 25, 50, to 100 before you know it. Then if you are like me you withdrawal all your savings from digit, go to the Casino and put it all down on one hand of blackjack. Doubled up, or bust... Basically its Wall St... However, that had nothing to do with the app. Its clean, super responsive and a pleasure to stuff a little fun money in until its time. I have heard people just to like to let it sit there and build and build... But who am I to judge.

People who cant save

This App is the best for people who cant save. Everyday Digit take small increments out of my bank account that I linked to Digit and it starts to pull my money and like I said (small amounts) and put it in the Digit savings account. I downloaded the App about 2 months ago and I cant even tell that it pulls the money. The feature I really like other then the savings portion is that all I have to do is text "checking" and it gives me my checking account balance from my bank, compared to consistently going onto my bank app logging in etc. super easy and convenient. I truthfully cant even tell the app is there and I look and it has already saved just under a $100 already. Love it thanks Digit!

Already have $298 saved after 24 days

After 24 days, this app has already saved $298. It does this by looking at my discretionary spending and taking just a little bit every day. If you dont make a lot of money, or spend a lot of money, it will only save a small amount per day (like 1 dollar or 50 cents). If you make a lot and spend a lot itll build very quickly. The "charges" you see on your bank statement from Digit go directly into your savings account. Its just their method of transferring the money. Dont be skeptical, embrace it. And to prove I have reached the savings, at least $100 you get a txt of dancing ducks. And at $250 you get a text message with animated gif of "making it rain".

Eh....

Ive had the app for a few weeks now and it hasnt saved anything for me yet. I was excited when I downloaded the app because I was looking forward to saving more money into an account. I love the concept which is why I gave it 2 stars but it needs to start saving for me soon or Im just going to delete it. I feel like its just wasting space on my phone.

Great but...

Still eating on the Touch ID feature.

Awesome tool!

This app is amazing is youre looking to save some money on the side without having to constantly check up on your bank account. Im currently saving for a trip and Digit has helped me save $500 and Ive hardly noticed! My only suggestion would be for it to allow me to set a limit on the amount of money it takes out per withdrawal. Maybe if the user was able to set a range within the app? Other than that its been a great tool to save money.

The best of its kind.

I have tried many savings apps out there. Digit was the only one that passed the test in acceptable transfer speeds (withdrawal from app to checking account). Qapital was a nightmare. I couldnt get my account verified no matter what I tried. Acorns was sketchy. I put $5 in there and it said I lost the $5 when I tried to withdraw. But it eventually reappeared in my checking account after 2 weeks. Tip Yourself was cute. But it took 5-7 days to withdraw. Digit took 2 days to withdraw. It doesnt have the "earned it" method of savings like Tip Yourself or Qapital. But it has its beauty in simplistic automation. Im sticking to Digit and will see how I like the "set it and forget it" method. Customer service is also great and I feel I can trust in them to hold my money. P.S, To those having issues because they deleted their account, contact CS. I deleted my account when I thought Qapital was more for me. When I came back, I couldnt make a new Digit account with my email or phone number. CS emailed back saying they would reopen my old account (it doesnt get completely deleted until 90 days I think). It took about a week but I got an email saying it was reopened. But here is the key. You have to log into your account from a browser to reactivates your account. I did it from my laptop. Make sure to use the exact link in the email instructions. It wont work if you try to login from the app on your phone.

Needs option for separate spending account

I love the idea of this app to start saving money but it has one huge flaw that prevents me from using it. I have a rewards credit card so I charge everyday purchases on it then pay it off at the end of every month with my checking account. Digit only allows you to link one checking account so it thinks Im only spending money once or twice a month. So now its saving large amounts everyday because it thinks Im not spending money on anything else. There should really be an option to link a checking account where savings will be withdrawn and another account to track spending.

Simple and effective

The minimal text chat interface is familiar and easy to use. And so far, Digit is working as advertised, saving money that I wont miss. One gripe: now that Digit has a full-fledged app, and not just an SMS-based interface, I wish Digit had an option to send notifications via the app instead of via SMS.

Digit!!!

Finally helped me save my money great app would recommend this to anyone

Love it! A wonderful often used tool.

Ive been using Digit for about a month now. So far so good. Its helped me save a little bit more each week and it even helps me have a glance at my accounts whenever needed. Great for starting that fund that youre always trying to get around to. A+ for the subtle gamification that makes savings fun.

Innovative

Very user friendly and innovative. This company has a vision for the future mobile user generations. I love this app.

Absolutely Brilliant!

Easy to use. Easy to Withdraw. Mindless savings! Its great.

Helping this college student save $$$

Definitely would recommend this app to anyone who needs a little assistance with saving. Someone with a non-existent salary will definitely like this app.

Seamless savings. Great for many reasons!

I love this app! I love how it saves automatically for me and barely notice it. Its good for a person like myself that is a 1099 and I have to pay my own taxes, so this app lets me save up the money I would need in order to pay my taxes without me thinking about it.

Could be good... But its not

Firstly I love the concept. I dont have to really think about it withdrawing microtransactions. Basically what I would spend at a convenience store or on the App Store on a daily basis. Watching huge chunks of money transferring into your savings hurts more for some reason. Not paying is great, since they are essentially getting paid via interest. However. The UI is mediocre, it lost a star. Its essentially the same as using your text messages, which is where this app evolved from... But it didnt go too far at all. It allows you to view your recent transactions and current balance... Thats great (nothing that a bank account app should be commended on). But everything else is me having to type in what I want done. I want to withdraw, I have to type out "withdraw"... May as well not have put out an app... And what made it loose 2 more stars is that it gets randomly disconnected from my bank weekly (guess its not random if I can guess the day it will get disconnected). They claim its the banks fault, but if I can have other banks connected to my bank, such as Mint and other accounting apps, I cant imagine that its actually the banks fault. Super inconvenient. So Im going to have to say goodbye. Let me know when things work properly.

Scam

They wont let me withdraw and delete my account. Currently stealing my money. Please dont waste your time. Trust me

BEST THING I EVER DID

this app has saved my butt so many times. Im the worst at saving money and digit makes it so easy, so convenient, so mindless to protect your money! Im in love!! THANK YOU DIGIT ❤️❤️❤️
